Have you ever wanted to try trail running but were afraid to start? Trail running doesn't have to be intimidating when you learn the ins and outs of how to stay safe while on the trails, what gear you need (it's less than you think!), proper trail running form and much more from an experienced coach.
Trail running is a great compliment to regular road running. It's a softer surface, which is easier on the body. Trail running paces are typically a little slower than road running, which is also easier on the body. There is also more side-to-side movement since your body must adjust to the varying terrain. While this takes some getting used to, it builds strength in the lower legs. So you become a stronger, fitter runner with every step! In these laid-back, supportive, non-competitive and FUN programs, runners get detailed training plans, weekly coached runs, unlimited contact with the coach, email newsletters, discounts on running gear from the Running Center in Carlsbad, product samples, a technical t-shirt, as well as informational seminars on nutrition, injury prevention and much more! Race registration isn't included in the program fee but we will have an AWESOME race discount code for all our runners!

2015 Lake Hodges 15K Trail Running Program
What: 10 Week 15K Trail Running Program
When: August 16 through October 24, 2015
Where: Rancho Bernardo Community Center
Time: Every Sunday at 8:00am (some sessions will be held on Saturdays, dates TBD)
Price: $100 (race registration is not included)

Program Logistics: We will meet Sunday mornings at 8:00am at the Rancho Bernardo Community Center and run the trails around Lake Hodges. We have the opportunity to run the race course every week, ensuring your success come race day! We will be training for the Lake Hodges 15K on October 24, 2015. 2015 Lake Hodges 5K Trail Running Programs
What: 8 Week 5K Trail Running Program
When: September 2 through October 24, 2015
Where: San Elijo Hills Town Center
Time: Every Wednesday at 6:30pm
Price: $75 (race registration is not included)

Program Logistics: We are training for the Lake Hodges 5K on October 24, 2015. We will meet Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm.
